Thoughts an' Such

Ahem

Heh, well, kinda fell off this place for a bit, but having remembered that it does exist, and having gotten a new, better camera for Christmas, I decided that I'd submit some new things. It's about time, too. I can't use Flickr anymore, because they have limited my amount of submissions due to the fact that I'm not a paying member. I know flickr...

Gotta Get Busy

I gotta upload more stuff on here. Have you ever noticed how you find a new place like this, use it like crazy for just a little bit, and then the inevitable taper occurs, where you visit daily, but fail to bring any new media to the outlet? Or is that just a creative failing of my own? Does anybody else do this, too? I'm sure that I can comb...

The lens has macro capabilities, but I wasn't using them when I took the photo. It was shot at 300mm from about 1-2 yards away. The 40D has a cropping factor of 1.6, so the 300mm is like a 480mm in full frame terms.

No... I wish...

I shot for years with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5 (kinda sad that I remember the exact model, huh?). It was no dSLR, but it was still a great camera... and Leica optics to boot!

Thank you!

Most definitely. When I got this shot, there was a gentleman shooting with a Canon L-series 600mm lens + teleconverter... I was jealous, to say the least!
